The last Rules of Engagement post sparked a lot of interest and support. I am grateful for those that took time to read it, share it, and show support in countless ways. Let’s update it, as things are changing faster than most of us can keep up.
My Two-Week Notice to the System
Tomorrow, I file my two-week notice to leave my federal civil service job. I’m walking away from a stable paycheck, health benefits, and the “safe” life I was told to cling to. It’s my way of signaling that I am dead serious about challenging this corrupt regime even as the civil service falls. If that means giving up my livelihood, so be it.
On March 14th, I’ll stand near the White House, ready to put myself on the line for all veterans (and all Americans) who believe the approach of “wait and see” approach is giving us a slow death. We’ve watched endless political theater while real people suffer. I won’t be silent any longer. I’ll reveal my identity and throw down my gauntlet.
I might go broke—I fully expect that. But at least I’ll be able to look my family in the eye and say I refused to accept this twisted status quo. If enough people show up, we’ll flood the area around the White House and demand change. If it’s just me, then so be it. My conscience will be clear.
I will try to develop ways to support me over the next two weeks and of course monetary support would be appreciated, but money alone (or at all?) will not win this fight. We need people who are unmoving and articulate about what they want. I want this regime gone for blatant violations of the Constitution, and I extend that to anyone that sides with this regime. It’s not about making America great again. It’s about keeping us from EVER being great again.
Anxiety, Reality, and Family
I’ve been anxious. Some days, I see hope on the horizon; other days, I’m preparing for everything to implode. My family feels it, too. They are learning something crucial: rule of law has always depended on who’s guarding it. Right now, the guards are asleep at the gate.
I’ve tried to protect my loved ones from the ugly underbelly of the world. I served in Iraq, got injured, and refused to blindly follow orders that served political lies. Now I’m watching authoritarians crush what’s left of democracy here at home. If I don’t fight this fight, who will?
We’re cutting corners financially, scrapping old cars for cash, and reducing monthly expenses. One child is diabetic, and I’m pushing everyone to stockpile insulin, but it’s still slow going. There’s always a scramble for more money, more supplies, more everything. We’re no doomsday preppers—we’re just realists bracing for uncertainty. If the powers that be rip away our livelihood, well…there’s not much left to lose anyway.
Why March 14th?
I’m a veteran. I know that the wealthy are quick to send us to fight, but they never intend to pay the bill. Once I am able to stand behind my own name again, people will likely see that I’ve always genuinely believe in the idea of America—freedom, liberty, justice. I also now that for decades, corporate puppeteers and unscrupulous politicians have been dragging us into hopelessness while they all continually get richer. I will not be complicit.
On March 14th, I’m going to Washington, D.C. If enough of us gather, we can surround the White House and let them know their time of “business as usual” is over.
March 14th is the day the government likely shuts down. It’s also a day rumored to be targeted by other veterans, so I stand a chance of quicker backup.
No more quiet compliance while families suffer. No more illusions that “someone else” will step in. We can’t wait for a magical candidate or a benevolent billionaire to rescue us. Real change starts with our own hands, voices, and presence on those streets. If those candidates and billionaires want to rescue our country, they can start by getting behind me and others like us that are ready to throw ourselves into the thick of things.
I’m a veteran. I’ve done this sort of thing before, but never for something so consequential for the United States and the entire world.
Let’s go!
My Family’s Preparation—and Fears
My crew is learning that everything we assumed was safe—healthcare, stable jobs, the rule of law—can be yanked away if we don’t stand up for it. We’re paring down, selling off possessions, stockpiling critical items, and trying to keep the kids from drowning in fear. This is amplified now by my timeline to go on the offensive, because there is always something unexpected that can destroy even the greatest of plans. The family is behind me, but naturally nervous. I’ve been the main point of income for their entire lives an my entire marriage.
This isn’t to inspire pity; it’s to show how very real these stakes are. Losing an income or a home isn’t “abstract.” These are raw, gut-punch truths that millions of Americans face daily. Our difference is that I’m willing to stand in front of the White House to say, “Enough.”
Call It “Nonviolent Confrontation”
I’m not going to DC with the intention of sparking violence—period. But I do plan to confront the status quo head-on. The time for politely worded petitions is long gone. We need a show of force that doesn’t involve bullets or fists—just people, side by side, making it impossible for this regime to ignore us. Make them bring the military. Call their bluff or inspire the military to defend us.
If that means I drain my bank account keeping the family functioning while I protest, then I’ll drain it. If it means I leave the job that’s kept me afloat, then so be it. If it means I die penniless but free, fine. I’d rather go out knowing I fought than live a life bowing to these clowns. We are the majority and we need to act like it. All races, ethnicities, and whatever else the rich bastards convince us separates, rather than unifies.
We Are More Powerful Than We Know
For years, I’ve said we need a wake-up call, a jolt that breaks the illusion that our government will magically protect us. The truth? The government is only as strong as the people willing to defend its founding principles. The Constitution was never a guarantee; it’s a contract we must enforce.
Families like mine—small, working-class, always on the edge—are waking up to the fact that once you have nothing left to lose, you become a force to be reckoned with. Imagine what happens when thousands of us recognize that power.
Spread the Word
Mark your calendar: March 14th near the White House. I’ll be there to make a statement—leading by example. Showing what REAL leadership is.
If you can’t make it to DC, share this piece, tell your friends and family, or plan your own local demonstration. Every loud, public stand ratchets up the pressure.
This is your invitation to stop watching from the sidelines. If you agree that “wait and see” is the enemy of real progress, then join me. Let’s bring our demands straight to the doorstep of the people who keep telling us we’re powerless.
Final Words
I spent years fighting in other countries. I saved up some fight for the clowns running ours into the ground. Let’s show them we’re not asking permission anymore.
Come March 14th, I’m revealing my name, my face, and my unfiltered truth. You’re all invited to do the same—if you’re done waiting for someone else to fix this mess. I’m nobody but damn it, I am still human.
Together, we can shake this system to its core. Let’s do it without violence, but with unbreakable resolve. Because if they keep taking everything from us, we’ll have nothing left to lose—and that makes us unstoppable.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and—if you can—showing up in person. I’m ready to push forward, even if it costs me everything. Will you join me?

Guys, please we overlook the bad editing! I'm obviously moving as quick as I can and I didn't proofread like I normally do!
